Series - Argeneau
It bit: New York hotels cost an arm and a leg, and Terri had flown from England to help plan her cousin's wedding. The new in-laws offered lodging. But they were a weird bunch. There was the sometimes-chipper-sometimes-brooding Lucern, and the wacky stage-actor, Vincent. (Che couldn't imagine Broadway castinf a hungrier singing-and-dancing Dracula.) And then there was Bastien. Just looking into his eyes, Terri had to admit she was falling for him - someone even taller, darker and hungrier than the other two. She was feeling a mite peckish herself. And if she stayed with him, those bloodsucking hotel owners wouldn't get her!
As with the other books in the Argeneau series this is another light hearted look at vampires not to be missed.
"Please." It was one word with a wealth of meaning. Please pleasure me. Please keep me safe. Please take me where my body wants to go. Perhaps even: Please love me.
"Please," Terri repeated, then added with a sort of helpless frustration, "I can't . . ."
Unable to restrain himself anymore, Bastien rose up on the couch and shifted them so that he was seated properly, with her astride him.
A small sigh of relief slid from her lips as he did, her arms slipping around his shoulders. Bastien caught her sigh in a kiss.
Terri suddenly pulled back and pressed her cheek to his, gasping in his ear. "Bastien. Please."
