Individual Note:
     
Matthew Frantz, son of Christian and Mary Heckman Frantz, was born
February 27, 1849, near Clear Lake, Indiana, and departed this life at
Wellington, Kansas, November 27, 1937. He grew to manhood in Kosciusko
County, Indiana, and received his education in a little country school near by.... Brother Frantz and Susan L. Teeter were married October 7, 1873. They lived in Cherokee and Sedgwich counties, Kansas. Later they moved to Rye Patch, Nevada, where his wife died June 5, 1911. He had lived in Conway Springs since 1923. A few years ago he accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized by Elder Noah Brubaker. He lived close to Christ in his later years. Brother R.W. Quackenbush conducted the funeral, assisted by our pastor, Paul Thompson. Internment [sic] was made in Conway Springs cemetery. -- Amos O. Brubaker, Conway Springs, Kansas."
