"Another Ancient Light Gone Out.
Sunday afternoon at half past one o'clock Mr. Adam Dice breathed his last at the house of his son, William Dice, in Wayne Township, of heart disease. Mr. Dice was born in Wayne township on the 27th day of June, 1814, and died on the 26th day of February, 1888, aged 73 years and 8 months. Mr. Dice was the youngest living brother of six of the sons and daughters of George Dice, deceased, and has left three brothers and two sisters to mourn their loss, but his gain. He leaves three sons and three daughters and ten grandchildren. Mr. Dice was converted in 1848, and attached his name to the church and has been a consistent member down until the time of his death. He was a good neighbor and a kind father, and his loss will be deeply felt in our neighborhood. Funeral on Wednesday, February 29th at one o'clock. Services at the Union church, conducted by the Rev. Weidemeyer.

A note from George Wasson states that Adam converted 1848 and died at home of son, William Warren Dice, at McElhattan. George Wasson also states that Cornelius McKeague was born 1792 in Golway, Ireland. Per data received May 14, 1998.

     Following information furnished by Gloria Harbach to Dick Deise.
McKeague/MacKeag(ue)/MacThaidhg is a form (Gaelic-Irish) of MacTeige found in County Down. It is an Ulster name.

Cornelius McKeague was Roman Catholic in religion. He built and operated first sawmill in Clearfield Co., PA. Operated water-powered sawmill along Susquehauna River in McElhattan, Clinton Co., PA. He was located in Wayne Twp., Clinton Co., PA on the 1870 Census.
He, wife and daughter, Mary Jane immigrated in Feb. 1819. Egg Harbour, Atlantic, NJ. His second child, Thomas McKeague was born aboard ship on Feb. 11, 1819.
He is buried in Citizens Cemetery / McKeague Hill, Cherry Tree, Indiana Co., PA.

According to papers sent by Joyce Hedman (June 26, 1998) listed in 'naturalization papers for Cornelius, dated 1828', Cornelius was born in Londonderry, Donegal County, Ireland. Thanks Joyce

     David Randolph Kinports worked for many years as a mail clerk on the U.P. Railroad. A siding in Nebraska was named in his honor. David also had a home-based business doing fine woodworking, making cabinets, etc. This researcher has a fine rocking chair made by David.

     The most important thing to Delia was her family. She enjoyed children all her life. She was truly a gifted seamstress and made many of the clothes that she and her family wore. Even in advanced years, Delia loved sewing. She was sewing up until a few days before her death. In her later years she made clothes for small girls and gave them to needy children.
