Individual Note: Charles migrated to Illinois from Kentucky a few years before his marriage to Julia Schnebly in 1836. He was an able lawyer and acquired quite a large estate. He was considered a wealthy man. Joe Bosserman. His title of Col. was given to this researcher by Joyce Melnar.

Individual Note: David received a liberal education at Marshall College, Mercersburg, PA. He edited the Mercersburg Journal for four years. After graduating he returned to his home in Illinois, remaining there for a short time then went to Oregon where he married. He afterward removed to the Washington Territory.

Individual Note: George moved from Maryland to near Peoria, IL in 1835. He operated a steam sawmill there for some time. After marryng Miss Margaret Cox, he went to California, later returneing and settling in Mossville, Peoria Co., IL where he farmed, ran a sawmill, and traded in grain.
