Individual Note: Catharine was the first of Daniel's three wives. After her death, Daniel then married her sister Margaret Rench, and the third being Mrs. Jane Turner of Willamsport. Catharine was mother to his first 8 children and her sister, Margaret was mother to the remaining 5 children.

Individual Note: Daniel started as a farmer, then moved into Hagerstown and served in several offices as sheriff, post master, and Register of Wills. He was married three times. The first two being the sisters Catharine and Margaret Rench, and the third being Mrs. Jane Turner of Williamsport. All of his 13 children were by the first wo marriages. He died on Sept. 5, 1843 aged 57 years. This data is from page 291 of the book "Biographical Annals of Franklin Co., PA."
