Individual Note: 1. There is no proof but a good indication that this information on Peter may be correct. The fact that children of Peter and Hannah married into German families supports the theory that the Noes were German and more than likely came to this country with other Palatine immigrants. See Book: "Peter Noe and his Noe/Noey/Noah Descendants" by: Virginia Scribner Rowland....this is a must for all Noe researchers
2. According to DAR and some court records Peter was a miller by trade.
3. One Revolutionary War Account of a pay voucher dated 17 Jul 1776 says he was a doctor and was in fact being reimbursed for nursing and caring for one Llijah Evans. These services also indluded the necessary clothing for Mr. Evans' burial.
4. Peter was a Patriot.
5. Peter Noe was naturalized in Rown County, North Carolina on 24 Mar 1763 from Brick Church or Low's Church area. Because of this naturalization record we can assume he wasn't born in this country or in England since in 1763 the Colonies were still under English rule. There would have been no need to be naturalized.
All above is from Earl Lee Jones www.earljones.net Oct. 12, 2007.

Individual Note: 1. It was quite common for a family to name two children by the same given name even though the eldest by that name was still living. Apparently that is what Peter and Hannah Noe did. The will of Peter is quite clear in naming two daughters by the name of Elizabeth. There was an Elizabeth Ragan listed on the 1818 membership roll of the Abbotts Creek Baptish Church in Guilford County, North Carolina. Also listed wer Mark and Bryand Ragan. These may have been sons of Elizabeth. Earl Lee Jones website www.earljones.net Oct. 12, 2007.
