     1. Hal lived most of his life in Morristown, Tennessee, leaving only when he went to Eastern Virginia to work for a newspaper there. He returned to Tennessee in 1916 and was employed as a linotype operator of the Daily Gazette and Mail where he worked for 59 years until it closed in 197
