Individual Note: He lived near Deshler, OH on a farm of which the old homestead of John Dunn was a part. Samuel is buried in McComb Union Cemetery, McComb, Hancock Co., Ohio. He is in Row 21 of the 3rd Addition. There is a large marker with DUNN on the south side of the marker.

He was born in Ohio and his mother and father were born in Maryland. His wife is Margaret J, age 38. His children are: Charles age 20; George age 17; Ella age 15; Sarah age 11; Maggie age 9; Horace age 7; and Ernest age 3. All the children except Ernest had attended school in the past year. A laborer, ?R. M. Simpson, male age 24 resided at this residence also.
In the 1900 U. S. Federal Census Samuel Dunn is listed in the Jackson Twp., Wood Co., Ohio census. He is age 66, born May 1834 in Ohio. His mother and father were born in Maryland. He had been married for 41 years to Margaret. Seven of their eight children were living. He was a farmer who owned his home, free of a mortgage and it was a farm. He could read, write, and speak English. His daughter Ella age 35 and son Earnest age 23 were both single and lived with them. His sister-in-law, Barbara Bishop, age 63 or 68 and a nephew, Milton Hoot, age 33 both single lived with them. His son Earnest's occupation was a farmer and Milton Hoot was listed as a farm hand. In the census he is listed between George F. Dunn, the enumerator (and his son), and Andrew Bergman.

Individual Note: In the 1880 U. S. Federal Census, George O. Dunn was listed as living in Jackson Twp., Wood Co., Ohio. He was listed on Image #16 under his father, Samuel Dunn. He was 17 years old and had attended school in the past year. He was born in Ohio as were his mother and father.
In the 1900 U. S. Federal Census, Geroge F. Dunn was listed as living in Jackson Twp., Wood Co., Ohio. He was the enumerator for Jackson Township. He was the head of the household, born July, 1862. He was 37 years old and had been married 9 years. Four of his five children were living. He was born in Ohio as were his mother and father. He was a farmer and owned his house with a mortgage. It was a farm. He could read, write, and speak English. His wife, Ida, was 33 years old. Their children were: George F., Jr age 7; Reed B age 5: Mildred age 3: and William S age 2. They were followed in the list by his father, Samuel Dunn.
In the 1910 U. S. Federal Census, George F. Dunn was listed as living in Jackson Twp, Wood Co, Ohio. He was age 47 and was married for 18 years to Ida M. Dunn. five of their 6 children were living. He owned his own home with a mortgage. It was a farm.
In the 1920 U. S. Federal Census, George F. Dunn was listed as living in Jackson Twp, Wood Co, Ohio. He was listed on Image # 9. He was 57 years old, owned his home with a mortgage. He was married to Ida M. Dunn. He was a farmer. Living with him was his wife, Ida, age 53. their children living with them were Geroge Jr age 26 single; Reed age 25 single - teacher; Mildred age 23 single; William age 22 single; and John age 15 single. Della Bergman, Ida's sister also reseided there. She was age 52 and single.
In the 1930 U. S. Federal Census, George F. Dunn was listed as living in Jackson Twp, Wood Co. Ohio. He was listed on Image #15. He was 67 years old, owned his home. Had a radio and lived on a farm. He was 29 when first married and was able to read and write. He was born in Ohio as were his mother and father. He could speak English and was a farmer of a general farm. He was not a veteran. Living with him was his wife, Ida M. age 63. She was 25 when first married. She could read, write and speak English. She and her parents were born in Ohio. Their child living with them was Mildred L., age 33, single. She could read, write and speak English. She and her parents were born in Ohio. She was a teacher in the public school.

Handwritten in ink at the top of newspaper clipping was "Pneumonia cause of death". Information in the "Rememberance card" from the Dubbs Funeral HOme, Deshler, Ohio, shows that George F. Dunn, Sr was born July 15, 1862 in Green County, Ohio, and died March 8, 1950 at the family residence.

Deshler Farmer's Funeral Saturday
DESHLER, March 9 - George F. Dunn, 87, who had lived for 59 years on the same farm, died there late Wednesday night. He was ill ten days and death was attributed to infirmities. Mr. Dunn resided with his son George at the farm, three and one-half miles southeast of Deshler.
A son of Samuel and Margaret (Bishop) Dunn, he was born in Greene County, July 15, 1862, and came with his parents to Henry county at the age of five years.
He was married to Ida M. Berman, of Hancock county in 1891 and they celebrated their golden wedding in 1941. Mrs. Dunn is deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Reed B. Dunn, 1116 North Cory stree Findlay; George F. Dunn, near Deshler; William S. Dunn, Deshler, and a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Brown, Sharon, PA. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Maggie Riegle, lives in Bowling Green. Two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Deshler Methodist Church. The Rev. F. G. Boroff will officiate. Interment will be in the McComb Cemetery.
The body will remain in the Dubbs funeral home Deshler until time for services."
