John Rench Sr. was born in Miami Co., Ohio, the 14th of December, 1820. About 1846 he took for a wife Sister Margaret J. Sipes, who left for the heavenly homeland in 1882. To them were born eleven children. The move was made from Ohio to Indiana in 1864. In December, 1883, he was married to Sister Margaret Richard. He was affiliated with the church for about fifty years. Three sons and one daughter were left at his passing. He had attained the age of 90 years when summoned home, March 1, 1911. Service held by Eld. Abraham C. Young, with the aid of Bro. Andrew J. Miller.
