Abraham was a farmer in Newberry Twp., Miami Co., OH. The marriage date and place shown as 1804 Bedford Co., PA was taken from the International Genealogical Index. Joe Bosserman, April 16, 1997.

According to Phyllis Jean Monroe, Oct. 14, 2003 via email: "Abraham traveled to Montgomery Co., OH from Morrison's Cove, PA and having found a suitable place entered it (160 acres NE 1/4 Sec 17 in Randolph Twp at the mouth of Wolf Creek) with the Cincinnati Land Office on Mar 4, 1805. He returned to Morrison's Cove and on Sep. 26, signed a release to his parent's property. Then Elizabeth and he traveled by Connestoga wagon to Pittsburgh, by flat-boat on the Ohio River to Cincinnati, then, by wagon to Randolph Twp. They arrived November 1805. He unloaded the wagon under a large oak tree and had $1 in cash to carry them through the winter. He started cutting trees and built a log cabin to house them for the winter. Their first child Daniel Rench Deeter was born Jul. 10, 1806. On Jan. 13, 1807, he purchased another 160 acre parcel adjacent to the original farm. (Sept. 1, 1814, Abraham sold the original farm which cost $200 to Henry Eller for $1,600.) On April 27, 1819, Abraham purchased the SE 1/4 Sec 5 in Newton Twp., Miami Co., OH and moved into Sugar Grove area. Some Rench and Deeter family members had already settled at Sugar Grove along the Stillwater River. They had ten children, three of whom died at an early age. They were among the first members of the Panther Creek German Baptist Brethren congregation and are buied in the old Sugar Grove Church Cemetery along with many other Deeter family members, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The John and Susannah (Ulrich/Ullery) Diederich/Deeter family Bible contains the record of Abraham and Elizabeth's family. This Bible was handed down through the George and Mary (Deeter) Minnich families to Cora (Minnich) Rudy. Her son Robert Lee Rudy now holds this Bible.
